Adapting to Climate ChangeThe Hawai‘i CZM Program and its partners implementing the Hawai‘i Ocean Resources Management Plan (ORMP) recognize that climate change will impact every sector of the State. As a result, CZM is collaborating with its partners to move the state forward with a comprehensive approach to climate change adaptation. CZM is currently developing a mechanism by which various agencies and organizations in the State can contribute to a living document informing partners on climate change adaptation initiatives across the State. The purpose of this effort is to minimize duplication and maximize collaborative opportunities whereby partners may leverage funding, staff resources, and data. This effort will also help the State identify gaps in research and assessments necessary for moving toward a comprehensive Climate Adaptation Plan for Hawai‘i.
