BIRD HUNTERS CAN “ASK DOCARE” ABOUT SAFETY REGS,
CONCERNS AT PU‘U WA‘A WA‘A FIELD FORUM

The public is invited to an informal “field forum” at Pu‘u Wa‘a Wa‘a game management area Unit J hunter check-in station on Saturday November 10 from 2-5 p.m. with Dept. of Land and Natural Resources staff from Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement and Division of Forestry and Wildlife. With the recent opening on Nov. 2 of game bird hunting season at Pu‘u Wa‘a Wa‘a, the staff will be available to provide information to hunters on safety precautions, bird populations, weather conditions, and to answer any questions.

This event is the next monthly informational event being planned by DOCARE for public locations on the Big Island to “talk story” with the public at state recreational sites.
