DLNR Meeting to Discuss Surf School Impacts in Waikiki

HONOLULU — Department of Land and Natural Resources invites the interested public to an information meeting on January 22, 2004 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Jefferson Elementary School to discuss the impact of surf school operations on Waikiki Beach and nearshore waters.

"This is an information meeting to give the opportunity for the community to find out what is taking place and to provide their input or concerns with regard to surf school instruction along Waikiki Beach," said Steven Thompson, DLNR-Boating Oahu district manager.

If special accommodations are required, i.e., large print, sign language interpreter, etc., or for more information, call Ed Underwood, DLNR-Boating Oahu district office at 587-1973 prior to January 22, 2004.
