DLNR To Dedicate New Comfort Station
Serving Lahaina Community

LAHAINA — The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) will dedicate the newly completed comfort station at the Lahaina Small Boat Harbor, Friday September 21, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. on the site of the old comfort station.

Eric Hirano, engineering administrator for DLNR; Former Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa; State Senator Rosalyn Baker; Representative Angus McKelvey; Keoki Freeland, executive director of the Lahaina Restoration Foundation; representatives from Maui Master Builders and Design Consultant Mitsunaga and Associates, Inc. as well as staff from DLNR’s Engineering, and Boating and Ocean Recreation Divisions are expected to participate in the ceremony.

This project is part of the Lingle-Aiona administration’s ongoing commitment to improve small boat harbors and parks statewide.

This ceremony is not open to the public. Media are invited.
