HSFCA Awards & Recognition


Throughout the history of the HSFCA, its awards have recognized excellence and leadership in Hawai`i for culture, arts and humanities. Awards recipients offer inspiration and encouragement through their distinguished achievements. The last celebration was held on August 8, 2008, before the budget cuts. The State of Hawai`i Order of Distinction for Cultural Leadership

The State of Hawai`i Order of Distinction for Cultural Leadership, which was the predecessor to the Governor's Award for Distinguished Achievement in Culture, the Arts and Humanities, was a very prestigious honor that was only given on rare occasions to acknowledge outstanding accomplishments in cultural leadership.
